Empty Apartment

Confusion
In a bubble bath
My answer to boredom,
Intensity, chill--
Transience in soap,
Eternal discontent
Willing victims to no silent
Grabs for cover
Peace, distraction,
Pearlescence,
Insufficient perquisites
Leaving wet unseemly
Skin racing mind
Poetry
Balanced precarious
On slipsliding knees
And thought,
The inescapable
Censure of self.
